Super Hold’em strategies
There is no other game that can be as thrilling and as profitable as poker is. Super Hold’em poker is a variant of Texas Hold’em kind of poker. Though some people say, it is unique as it is a mixture of Texas Hold’em, Pineapple poker and Omaha. It resembles Pineapple Poker as the players get three hole cards after the deal. In Pineapple poker, the cards are discarded. But out here in Super Hold’em the cards are not discarded. This particular aspect makes it similar to the way Omaha poker is played. Hands are played the same way like Texas Hold’em and Omaha. But there is a significant difference in this. Players are allowed to use only zero, or one or two of the hole cards to make their five card poker hand. The other difference is the fact that the players are not allowed to use all the three of their hole cards. This is deemed to be the only restriction when Super Hold’em poker is concerned. Super Hold’em poker is usually played with a Hi/Lo split.
How to play a basic Super Hold’em poker Hand?
The Super Hold’em hand starts with the dealer placing three hole cards to each of the player. The betting round starts immediately. As soon as it is done, the card is burned from the dock. The flop along with three community cards is dealt. The players then start betting again. Another card is burned. The fourth community card is then dealt. The players bet for another time. Once this betting is done, one more of the card is dealt. The players now have to show the card they have formed using the zero, one and two of their original hole cards. If a Hi/Lo split is played, the low hand has to be qualified. The low hand gets to take home half of the total pot. The other half is won by the best hand. Clearing of cards then takes place and the next hand of Super Hold’em is ready to be played.
Super Hold’em specific Strategies
It is a general tendency to think of Super Hold’em as Omaha poker with a card less. But this is not very true. So the strategies applied to Omaha poker cannot be applied here. There is a general inclination to win big hands at Super Hold’em poker. But the restriction in Omaha poker about the number of cards used, is lifted in Super Hold’em poker. This makes the game much dangerous as players are at a liberty to use only the board or one of their own cards and not hole cards as required in Omaha. Thus, winning big hands in Super Hold’em becomes more and more plausible as the players have an advantage of having one card more than in the usual Texas Hold’em. They are also permitted to use any number of their hole cards, but not all of them.

Chris Ferguson – Full Tilt Poker
I have always been fascinated with the Full Tilt Poker team. Full Tilt Poker always come up with the best set of players to play at various tables for them. Every time I log on to the full tilt tables, I have been enchanted by the play offs by their efficient team. One of the most consistent players in the Full Tilt Poker Table is Christopher Philip Ferguson.
Los Angeles, California has been the base for this genius born to parents both of them who were mathematicians. He spent five years of his student life as an undergraduate at the University of Los Angeles, California and spent a whole 13 years as a graduate at UCLA. He graduated from UCLA as a PhD in Computer Science only to join the poker circuit at Full Tilt Poker.
Reading more about Chris, I discovered he started playing poker in an Internet Relay Chat Channel in his early days. He played his first World Series of Poker Tournament in 1995. I also read that he was hesitant to play in no limits Texas Hold‘em but off late has showed his class in many tournaments. His first victory at the WSOP came in 2000 after seven final table finishes at low limit games. I have seen the television repeat of this particular game many a times against Cloutier and was pretty impressed with his class. Fondly called Jesus, he has five WSOP bracelets to his credit.

Betsson
Enter another virtual bookie poker client. Well, it’s certainly what all the online betting sites seem to be doing. But it won’t be unfair to say that Betsson is doing one hell of a job at it. Bettsson offers the following: Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha High Low, Seven Card Stud. The poker experience at Betsson is a very special one.
The interface is not cluttered and very user friendly. It has the typical air of a website whose primary concern is its poker clientele. There aren’t too many betting odds distracting you, keeping your focus on the poker game on hand. Online poker players will definitely enjoy this website for it has almost no failings. The poker is of very high standard too.
The players, unexpectedly, are way too snug and protective with their money. Hence the quality of poker automatically increases. The Omaha tables are surprisingly filled with above average players because in most cases Texas Hold’em is the more popular version. Not here though. The players are open and experimental with their game and given the excellent ambience, Betsson poker is one brilliant poker experience.
I liked the idea of offering the poker room in various languages which facilitates global players and offers variety. Their deposit bonus is standard of up to 100% match up but on depositing your first money they let you enter two tournaments which is a smart deal. Tournaments were running round the clock at Betsson and the intimation of the same is given at the site at all times. So you can be sure, you never miss any tournaments here.

My playing experience at Red Star Poker
The home page of Red Star Poker is very simple and all red. And the poker client follows suit, again very simple and easy to download. Cardinal rule of online poker, if you’re not happy with the client, don’t put your money on the table. But their client does decently well but the options are limited to Texas Hold’em (with a table limit on some tables), Omaha (with the hi-low, 8 or better on some tables). Some offer on choices would be appreciated.
It is a plain jane, no nonsense website where the options are way too little to increase your poker knowledge level horizons. While they have play guides to three games, but these do not offer insights and are very basic. But talking about the games and the promotions, they have mastered on the few games they have, and the players at the table mean business. There are several tournaments going on in the month of July with attractive prize money. They have a weekly bonus in addition to the 110% deposit bonus.
You will make money if you make a set of twos when you’re holding the ducks (pocket twos) like I did. Days like those, and red star might be your shining star. Else, it is a simple poker room with no frills and no comic action at the tables.
